Contrary to the modern evangelical feministic church of the 21st century, where Jesus is only love, and God loves everyone and tolerates everything, God is actually a jealous God and Jesus is called the Man of War. (Exodus 15) According to John’s description of the Christ, Jesus is not pictured as a long blond haired, blue cow-eyed, effeminate shepherd, but rather a fearfully terrifying Judge.
“And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead… “
Rev 1:13-17a
This is the same Jesus of scripture that destroyed the wicked of the earth during Noah’s day, Sodom in Lot’s day, Who destroyed nations under Joshua, and called upon the dogs to lick the blood of the dead wicked Jezebel.
Nations are Judged
Throughout the history of the world, God has judged both sinful individuals and rebellious nations. Most often the judgment was localized. According to the merciful kindness of God, sufficient warnings were always given so that there would be ample time to repent. If the nation repented, it was spared. However, once the warnings of God, declared by His prophets, were ignored, that nation was destroyed. It was that simple. God means what He says. Once the long-suffering of God ends, God acts. Once that happens, those condemned nations are wiped from the face of the earth and sometimes even from the memory of man.
Churches are Judged
God does not only hold nations to account, He also holds the church to account and that much more strictly. As the apostle clearly states, “Judgment must begin at the house of God.” 1 Peter 4:17. Since the church is the visible representative of God on the earth, it is to be the promoter of biblical truth and moral integrity. The mission of the church is to build the Kingdom of God by holding society, and its leaders, to account before God. The culture is indeed the report card of the church. If the culture spirals into chaos it is a testimony that the church has failed.
Theological Dualistic Schizophrenia
One of the major problems with the modern church is its dualistic approach to the Word of God. To focus on the New Testament in complete disregard for the Old is to put asunder what God has commanded not to separate. Today’s church has conveniently forgotten that for the first 360+ years there was no canon of scripture. The scriptures were simply letters scattered throughout the region without any cohesion. The apostles had only the Old Testament to teach from, for it was within the Old Testament that the gospel could be found along with its warnings and guidelines for the well-being of the individual, familial, culture, and nation.
It was within the Old Testament that the juridical laws, along with its case laws, could be found to structure and guide the nations. Justice would be secure only if those guidelines were followed and held sacred. Those nations that failed to use God’s requirements for a free and prosperous nation ultimately found themselves operating under tyrannical governments, which could only promise economic hardship, misery, and death.
A Systemic Global Judgment
The situation that the world is facing today, in the 21st century, is unique. God is not only judging one or two nations; He is judging all nations. His judgment is being realized globally. We are facing God’s wrath upon the world. This realization should be quite evident. What is not so evident is this judgment is systemic. In other words, God’s wrath has fallen upon every institution within the scope of human existence. What we are witnessing is the unraveling of politics, government, economics, law, religion, health and medical care, pharmaceuticals, the military, education, morals, families, international relations, race relations, food contamination and deliveries, even the willingness to work for an honest day’s pay has unraveled, and the list goes on and on. Every time I hear of another aspect of society falling into the darkness of corruption or being perverted in any way, I realize once again that God is systemically destroying the rebellious global order. American is not the only nation in the cross hairs of God’s displeasure. I do believe, however, that America will reap more of the whirlwind than some of the other nations.
Those Who Knew The Master’s Will
America’s original founding was for the glory of God. It was to be structured as the city upon a hill that Christ spoke of in the gospels. Its laws, government, and every aspect of its culture was to be structured Biblically. With all her faults and sins, America was to be a godly example for every other nation. It was to be the evangelical institution of biblical truth for the entire known world. To fall to the depths that it has in only 250+ years is an astonishment only because America should have known better. Her churches should have known better. Her families should have known better. Instead of internalizing the warnings of Deuteronomy 28 and Leviticus 26, America and her religious organizations ignored the clear warnings and restructured the gospel to focus only upon the love of God. Coveting a larger market share of the community with its tithes and offerings the church prostituted herself with the world and sought after a gospel that would only tickle the ears of the worldly-minded religionists. But God will not be mocked, and we are now in the midst of His anger.
The Perversion of Truth
Either the bible is a book for all time, given by Divine inspiration, or it is nothing. Since God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, so too are His precepts and His laws. The bible is a book for today as it was for days gone by and for days yet to come. Furthermore, it is of no private interpretation. The bible is its own dictionary and commentary and to understand it one must compare scripture with scripture.
To claim that some passages were meant only for that time era and not for today is to pervert the truth of God. To say that some passages really don’t mean what they clearly say is to call God a liar. Yet, this happens on a daily basis from both parishioner and pastor. It is no wonder why God is angry.
Christendom Arise
Why does God judge to the point of destroying nations? The question should be rhetorical. It is to build something new and better that will find its purpose in the glorification of God and the exultation of the Lord Jesus Christ. American needs to be transformed into the righteous kingdom of God called Christendom, and it is up to the elect of God, the eternal redeemed of the LORD, to bring this to pass.
The Tactics
How is this to be accomplished while in the midst of God’s anger?
1. Begin with prayer asking God to give you the vision, stamina, courage, and encouragement to carry His message to your community because Christendom begins in the local community.
2. Find others who are like-minded and begin searching the scriptures for answers. Study the word of God – the answers are there.
- Network with others who have been building Christendom in their local communities already.
- Begin a church work or start a local bible study in your home.
- Talk to others. Network. Get involved in your local community.
- Begin a home educational co-op. Build an apparatus so parents can get their children out of the government schools.
The Building of Christendom takes work and sacrifice. The future depends upon it. We must remember however that the future does not belong to the wicked; it belongs to the redeemed of the Lord. It belongs to us. We need to take it. As Nehemiah so boldly said,
“And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives,
and your houses.”
Nehemiah 4:14
